Couples therapy
Couples therapy for partners who want to rebuild.
A structured, honest space to understand what’s happening between you — and what to do differently.
What it is
An honest space to do the actual work.
Couples therapy isn’t about deciding who’s right. It’s about understanding the pattern the two of you keep falling into, why it’s so sticky, and what each of you needs in order to step out of it.
I work with couples at every stage — from those who feel disconnected and want to reconnect, to those navigating rupture, infidelity, or the question of whether to stay.
Who it's for
This work is for you if…
- You keep having the same argument in different clothes
- Communication has become careful, sharp, or absent
- Trust has been broken and you're not sure what's possible
- Intimacy or desire has changed and neither of you knows how to talk about it
- A life transition (parenthood, illness, career) has shifted the relationship
- You're considering separation but want to be sure first

How I work with couples
Both of you matter. Equally.
My job isn’t to take sides. It’s to hold the space firmly enough that both of you can be honest, and to help you see the dynamic from outside it.
Expect structure, warmth, and the kind of honesty that’s hard to find in everyday life.
How it works
What sessions actually look like
Method
60-minute weekly or fortnightly sessions
Couples work benefits from a steady rhythm. We’ll find a cadence that works for both of you.
Method
Joint and (occasionally) individual
Most sessions are joint. Sometimes a focused individual session helps move the joint work forward.
Method
Structured, not free-floating
We work with the actual patterns between you, not just whatever was loudest that week.
Method
Honest and even-handed
I won’t avoid the hard things, and I won’t let either of you carry all the blame.
What you'll leave with
You'll leave the work with:
- A clearer understanding of the pattern between you
- Tools to interrupt escalation in real time
- Repair where there's been rupture
- More honest, less defended communication
- Clarity on what each of you actually needs

Common questions
Frequently asked questions
What if only one of us wants therapy?
It’s common. Often I’ll meet briefly with the reluctant partner first to talk it through. If it’s still a no, individual work for the willing partner can still shift the dynamic.
Do you work with unmarried, polyamorous, or LGBTQ+ couples?
Yes — all relationship structures are welcome.
How long does couples therapy take?
Most couples work with me for 3–9 months. Some come for a short focused piece; others for longer.
How is this different from regular couples therapy?
Most couples therapy treats both partners as essentially the same. Neurodiverse work doesn’t and that difference matters.
Can we do this online?
Yes — online works well, especially for partners in different locations or with busy schedules.
What if we're considering separation?
We can do discernment work — focused sessions to help you reach a clear, considered decision rather than a reactive one.
